    I can't believe how negative the comments are below the article. Obviously, these people do not personally know any woman who has competed in these pagents.

    I agree... it's just horrible. It also shows just how ignorant we are as a society to something new and different. These people must know nothing about pageants and the wonderful opportunities they provide. Open-mindedness is such a virtue.

    You can find a lot of ignorant people over on the VOY message boards too!! And these ARE so called pageant people!

    If I'm remember correctly, every single year nasty comments pop up under the Norwalk Reflector article. I'm glad the paper continues to support the pageant nonetheless...
