Decisions... decisions... I don't have TV at my place right now. I was going to watch at a friend's house on the west coast delay, avoiding the Internet as to not see the winner. But my dog is really sick and I shouldn't leave her alone. My friend's DVRing it for me... so I guess I could follow Twitter and know what happens. Neither is much fun. :(
In a few hours a new Miss America will be crowned and start a new decade of beauty. But who was your overall favorite from the last ten years? In your opinion, who was walking on air... fairest of the fair?
Miss Lima Square Fair, Shannon O'Neill, is at Miss America and just gave me the following description of Erica's dress, via Twitter! Thanks, Shannon:
Erica's evening gown was a rich purple color, had a mermaid silhouette with ruffles from about the knee down ...no slit, and the top had a key-hole, Lauren Nelson-esque neckline with crystals. GORGEOUS! In my opinion, both Erica and Miss Alabama have the top two evening gowns in their heat :)
After the gown is put away and the stage lights go out, Miss America embarks on a whirlwind of press interviews and community events. She is a spokesperson for the organization, her platform and women; she is an ambassador. Fans often criticize that some Miss America's don't do as much as others. Understandably, national partnerships and opportunities change yearly, but which Miss America of the decade seemed to be the best ambassador of the crown, in your opinion? And since we're all pageant fans... write your "and why?" answer as a comment!
