Last Friday Miss Ohio partnered with OSU athletes for "Buckeyes and Beauties Bowling for Books." The event raised money and collected books for the 2nd and 7 Foundation and Reach Out and Read; it appears to have been a great success!

Abby--two former Ohio girls competed in the Miss Northern WV pageant on Saturday. Former Miss Ohio, Karissa Martin, crowned the winner. Aubrey Bodo competed for Miss Ohio Valley 2006, and April O'Brien competed in several locals in 2007. O'Brien won the Interview Award as well as the Best Smile Award. Both girls attend college in WV so they were eligible to compete. This pageant was fantastic--not only did they provide hair and makeup stylists for all the girls, they all got fantastic gift bags, and the prizes for the winners were wonderful. It was a fun day for the contestants, as well as the people behind the scenes. Check out www.missnorthernwv.com for pictures!

I believe Miss Lake Festival's last name is spelled Hellwarth, not Hellworth...fyi.
