While there, make a donation to the Children's Miracle Network (CMN).
In 2007, IHOP raised more than $625,000 for Children's Miracle Network hospitals throughout the country. This year, they hope to raise $750,000. Be part of the celebration and help make miracles for the over 17 million children that visit CMN hospitals each year.

Hey Abby, Thanks for posting about National Pancake Day at IHOP! I took some of my friends to IHOP and we got free pancakes! Thanks to you of course. =)

ReplyDeleteIt's so frustrating to me that you - the contestants- don't hear about these things in time to set up an appearance. I know of one local titleholder in Michigan who did, Melissa Cousino, but I'll bet most ladies didn't even know about it!
We’ll all have to remember this for next year. I think it’s great that you at least went and had some pancakes. :) But every local titleholder should be serving pancakes at an IHOP somewhere on that day, with a local newspaper taking her picture!
Contestants and E.D.s- put this in your planner NOW for January 2009: "Find out when pancake day is!"

ReplyDeleteYes! I'm excited to report that Roberta helped with an event called "Pancake Pandemonium" sponsored by IHOP at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
ReplyDeleteShe wrote to me that she was in Cincinnati at the "host" store for National Pancake day... I'm not sure if each state has a selected host store, or if Cincinnati is perhaps the national headquarters.
Either way, it sounds like she was amply involved in the event!
