"Countdown to the Crown" Stats - Episode Three

The Group Challenge was called "Dress for Success" and was thoroughly entertaining! Each contestant had to find a new interview outfit for $100 and everyone in the group had to be done in 90 minutes.

The Grey and Green teams automatically advanced to the Gold Sash Challenge.

For the Wildcard Challenge the women modeled their eveing gowns for the judges, including guest, Clinton Kelley from TLC's What Not To Wear.

This challenge went very quickly and of the few contestants seen, I could only read the following sashes:

The wildcard winners were Oklahoma (from Anthony) Michigan (from Kim) and Maine (from Clinton).

Prior to the Gold Sash Challenge the green team was seen chatting and Miss Ohio finally got air time. Then Nevada and Oklahoma were featured for several minutes; Miss Oklahoma shared that her mom had been diagnosed with MS right before she left. She even pulled out a phone and left her mom a voicemail. The contestants were supposedly stripped of their cell phones and laptops, so obviously producers asked her to do this.

Gold Sash Challenge

For a second year, the contestants were asked to transform a plain baggy black dress into something special. (If there's a reality show next year, every Miss State should practice doing this before hand!) The following were featured while creating their craft projects, oh, I mean dresses...

On the runway, I didn't know who all the women were; the following were named:

The Top 3 were Rhode Island, South Dakota and Hawaii. South Dakota won the Gold Sash.
