Congrats to Miss USA 2009...?

She's been crowned, but I don't know who she is yet!

I am struggling right now not to check the message boards for the results! Here in LA it comes on at 7 p.m. local time and I've decided it'll be much more enjoyable to watch it without knowing the outcome.

Based on photos and the preliminary competition, here are my thoughts:

Top 6 Predictions
I will be stunned if these women don't all make it to the Top 10 and I feel strongly that one of them will be the winner.
(Stop laughing at me right now if I'm dead wrong!)

California
Utah
Florida
Rhode Island
Tennessee
Texas

Additional Top 15 Predictions

Arkansas
Kansas
Louisiana
New Mexico
New York
West Virginia

My Dark Horses

Ohio
Delaware
Utah
Nevada

Hype that I don't get
Fans on the message boards love these women, but I just haven't seen it; they don't do anything for me. Tis the nature of a pageant!

Arizona
Hawaii
Maine
Vermont
South Carolina

  1. North Carolina won! California was 1st Runner up, and I don't remember who else was in the top 5. I only caught the last few minutes.

  2. WHAT THE HELL!?!?!?!

Even though I'm on the west coast where the pageant was not aired live, I said I wanted enjoy it WITHOUT knowing the results!

Had this been a post with pictures, in which you may have missed the text, I could understand, but how did you not read that I didn't want to know!? :(

I appreciate all my readers, but this was really frustrating!

  3. I know it's just a pageant - not the end of the world. But things are pretty shitty and stressful for me right now, and I just wanted to kick back and enjoy Miss USA. Thus, I'm left wondering why people can't read?

Lighten up? Nope, sorry, still pissed! :)

  4. There are more important things going on in the world to be angry about. The fact that you found out who won a pageant early doesn't even matter. Who cares?

  5. I'm seriously starting to wonder why people come to my blog if you're not interested in reading...?

I wrote, "I know it's just a pageant - not the end of the world."

It's a natural human reaction and absolutely my right to be annoyed. This is a blog about pageants, so I blogged my frustration about finding out. I agree pageants are the least of the world's problems, as well as the least of the shit I'm personally dealing with right now. But I write this blog and enjoy pageants as a release from all that. So yes, I was pissed and I'm not sorry about that. In fact, I'm a little surprised the original commenter hasn't apologized. If they were just skimming and misread that I didn't want to know, then I do understand.
