Congrats to the Miss Muskingum Valley Prelim Winners

Sources tell me it was a great show and Miss Ohio, Karissa Martin, presented the following preliminary awards:

Swimsuit, Retro Gal’s Flight - Alison Salyers
Swimsuit, Vintage Dame’s Flight - Heather Wells

Evening wear, Retro Gal’s Flight - Kaley Mitchell
Evening wear, Vintage Dame’s Flight - Stephanie Rodgers

Talent, Retro Gal’s Flight - Alicia Huyghe
Talent, Vintage Dame’s Flight - Stephanie Rodgers

Below left to right: former Miss Ohio and Miss Muskingum Valley emcee, Stephanie Meisberger-Winland, Karissa Martin, Erica Gelhaus and Miss Clayland ED, Martha Campbell.

Clayland ED Martha Campbell just posted these photos on Facebook; I'm willing to bet they're from tonight, but can't say for certain. I'm also betting and hoping pictures will be posted here and/or here.

ZANESVILLE — Waiting for her turn in the hair and makeup chair, Stephanie Rodgers maintained her calm demeanor before taking the stage.

"I'm just ready to get started,” she said with a smile.

..."I got involved for the scholarship money,” she said. “I’m going to law school, and it’s not cheap. I also got involved to gain confidence, prepare for job interviews and learn about carrying yourself. If you can walk on stage in a swimsuit, you can do anything.”

Rodgers’ pre-competition composure and confidence paid off, as she earned two preliminary awards — a $100 cash scholarship for her appearance in a black two-piece in the swimsuit competition and a $300 cash scholarship for her blues and soul-filled rendition of “Mercy Me” in the talent competition.

...The pageant continues at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night at Secrest Auditorium, with the top 10 finalists announced at the beginning of the contest. These ladies will then re-compete and the winners will be chosen at the end of the night.

Note, the news article contains a misprint; Stephanie Rodgers won Evening Gown, not Swimsuit.
