Details about Sweeps

I still haven't heard where the first Sweeps pageant, slated for Saturday the 4th, will be held; but I did go directly to the source to get some answers about applying:

The MAO pageant contract contains about a thousands blanks in which a contestant has to type the pageant title. So in the case of these possible triple crowners, I asked what title women should put on their paperwork. Answer: Sweeps.

I also wondered, if a woman plans to compete in both, does she have to send two separate packets? Answer: No. One will suffice, but you need to somehow clearly note if you want to compete in both or just Saturday or Sunday.

Do Sweeps contestants have to pay the $100 CMN fee per pageant? Answer: If she's not yet reached the $400 cap, then yes.

What is the deadline to apply for Sweeps? Answer: Wednesday, April 1st. Mail paperwork and such to P.O. Box 1818 Mansfield, Ohio 44901; email questions to sweeps@missohio.org

  1. Abby - I was just wondering if you knew about the CMN fees... if you reach that $400 cap, do you still register for the pageant on CMN or do you just not do it at all?

  2. Hhmm... That's a very good question.

I've noticed some women never sign up for that website, and still compete; so if you've actually reached the cap, my instinct is that you'd not have to. That's just a guess though, I don't really know. I'll email Terri.

  4. Thanks for the info Brandi.

I emailed Terri and she said Steven handles the CMN stuff.

This isn't very positive, but the fact of the matter is that there are contestants who competed without paying the fee and I've also heard from EDs who have never gotten their 10%... So if you've actually paid your $400, I really wouldn't worry about it.

    Good luck at Sweeps!
